As compassionate beings, we like to try and help others when we see them doing something that may be harmful to them such as negative actions or falling into a negative way of thinking. However, we can only do so much. Reach a helping hand out to those stuck in a negative frame of mind. If they accept the help, great! If not, don’t allow yourself to be swallowed by their negativity. It may be hard, but sometimes the best thing to do is cut ties with negative people.

One of the best ways to battle negativity is to bring more positive things into your life. For this reason, it’s a great idea to surround yourself with positive people and things if there is a lot of negativity in your life.

4. Begin To Expect Great Things

Negative situations can make it feel like nothing but negative things are ever going to happen. Avoid this mindset at all costs because it will do nothing more than pull you deeper into negativity. Instead, expect great things to happen in your life. This will help you form a mindset that will fuel your desires instead of one that holds you back.

5. Use Affirmations

Affirmations are an amazing tool to use to battle negativity for a couple of really big reasons. The first would be the fact that they are simple to do and can be done anywhere. The second would be the fact that they are extremely effective. All you have to do is repeat positive statements to yourself. Simple, powerful and convenient, it truly doesn’t get any better than that!
