One of the most common causes of procrastination is intimidation. When faced with large goals that will take a lot of time and effort to complete, people tend to become overwhelmed.
An easy way to avoid this would be to break your larger goals down into several smaller ones. Each small goal will seem much easier to achieve. On top of that, this strategy will offer you a way to track your progress and see that things are actually getting done.
