CoffeeTalk_FacingYourFearsThere are many things in life that can cause us to be fearful. I am certain that you have experienced a few situations in life that have seriously tested your courage. The question is, did you face your fears or were you overwhelmed by them?

If you have had trouble in the past facing your fears, do not feel as if you are weak or a failure. Many people have a hard time when it comes to facing their fears, especially when it comes to facing fears that were created in their childhood.

People have different reasons for not facing their fears. For some the fear might be too overwhelming, others may not know where to begin, and then there are those who simply do not have the energy to fight. Determining your reason for not facing your fears will help you come up with a battle plan to be triumphant in the future.

Those who experience overwhelming fear will likely be uncomfortable while facing their fears and this is something that often times deters people from even trying. When you really think about it, living in fear can’t be comfortable either.

As mentioned before, some people do not know where to start when it comes to facing their fears. If you are one of these people, you are in luck because the following are some examples of strategies that can help you conquer your fears.

•Create a fear journal
You may want to consider creating a fear journal. Every time you become scared, quickly write about it in your journal. You do not need to write a short story every time you make an entry. Simply jot down something that you will be able to study later. When you have the free time, look over the fearful situations in your journal and begin to analyze them. Ask yourself, why are you scared of these situations? When you do this exercise it often times becomes clear that there is really nothing to be afraid of.

•Use fear as a power source
Fear is not always a bad thing. If used correctly, it can actually be used as a power source. The trick is learning how to channel your fear instead of letting it overwhelm you. This takes a lot of practice but once you have mastered it you will be able to face any challenge that the universe has to provide you.

•Understand that we cannot be successful in everything we do
Some people have a hard time accepting the fact that there will be times in life that they fail. The problem with this is the fact that this causes fear inside of them. This fear will cause them to miss the lessons that the universe provides them with and cause them to fail once again in the future. Once you are able to accept the fact that you will not be perfect at everything you do, you will feel less pressure and almost certainly be fearless.

•Learn to take chances
Some people get themselves stuck in a safety bubble and find it very hard to get back out. Their fear keeps them contained and does not allow them to venture out and experience new things. The problem with this is the fact that this likely causes them to miss out on the best blessings in life. Taking chances can be risky but it can also pay off quite well. It may be difficult at first for you to take chances but it will surely become easier in time. It is suggested that you begin with smaller risks so that you do not completely overwhelm yourself.

•Learn to laugh
Laughter is a remedy for so many different things and fear is no exception. There are chemicals that are released in our brain when we laugh that make us feel good. For this reason, laughter can be your anti-fear potion.

•Meditate
Meditation is a very valuable tool when it comes to facing fears. It allows those who practice it to connect with their inner-self. This connection allows people to analyze different things in their life, including fear and other emotions. Meditation sessions will help you to determine whether or not your fears are genuine and what causes them. Once you have determined this, it is time to create a battle plan and put it into action.

Fear does not have to control your life. You are a strong person and deep down inside of you is the power you need to face your fears head on. As stated before, it may uncomfortable at first, but it will get easier with time.

The day will come when you are able to look fear in the face and laugh! Even if that day seems distant now, it will come! With the right tools, the possibilities are endless.

Here is a source that can help you with fear as well as many other things in your life.
