If we look at a particular thing, a painting for instance – we won’t be able to appreciate it if it’s just an inch away from our face. However if we try to take a different perspective and step back, we’ll have a clearer vision of the whole picture.

If we reach a point in our life and we’re ready for change we’re looking for information that will help us unlock our self improvement power.

It might be right under our nose and we don’t see it.

Take this example –

If we put Frog A in a pot of hot water, what happens? He hops out! Why? Because he isn’t able to bear this sudden, extreme change. Then we put Frog B in luke warm water and begin heating it. After a while, Frog B thinks “It’s getting a bit warm in here”.

Many people are like the second frog. They are just fine going along until they experience pain.

The only time most of us start wanting to learn about our self improvement power is if everything is going to pieces. We think this way because it isn’t easy to change. However change gets more painful if we pay no attention.

Things in life will change, like it or not. And at some point, we’re all going to take self improvement seriously because we see its for our own good.

People who are happy don’t just live with change, they “hug” it. Now, you don’t have to go through a enormous tragedy before knowing that you might need to do something about self improvement. Finding your self improvement power means getting past excuses like “its just the way I am”. It’s such a pitiful excuse for people want to resist change. Don’t program yourself to fail.

Let’s look at Mary for example. She repeatedly tells everybody that she’s to afraid to be around big groups of people. She’s heard lots of people close to her say this about her to others. Over the years, she’s been taught to believe this. She thinks it’s her story. So, each time a big crowd is around – she tends to shrink into the corner, shy away and disappear into a different room. Mary didn’t only believe this programming, she lived it.

She needed to realize that she’s different than “her story’. She needed to find her personal development power and show people “I’m an important person and I ought to be treated that way!”

Self improvement might not be everybody’s favorite word, however if we view things in a different way, we will have a better chance of enjoying the whole process rather than counting the days until we’re done improving. And just if you’re enjoying the whole process of unlocking your self improvement power, you’ll see that you’re beginning to take things light and become happier.

Don’t be a Frog B and ignore your path to a better life until things fall apart. Start your journey to a better life today. Begin seeing yourself as important and worth the time to get the information and tools you need. You’ll be happy you did.
